Derek and Ringer

Derek and Ringer are a calf roping team. Ringer had a near fatal wreck in 2001 suffering face, head, and neck trauma. He just couldn't get back to his original self or performance. Derek and I (Lynn, Derek's Mom) struggled for a whole year with different therapies but could never get him back to normal.

Then, we decided to give Marijke a call in the fall of 2002. After the first 6 months of treatment including homeopathic remedies, Bone-Up, and specific minerals, Ringer was acting like his old self again. Gradually he became stronger and Derek was able to use him at more and more rodeos. This was a huge change for Derek because Ringer was to become his #1 calf horse, instead of #2.

They struck out into the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association for the first time. Ringer was handling everything, but now it was Derek's turn to keep himself together. Derek had never had a problem before, but with working full-time, riding a new horse, and other significant stressors, he decided to consult Marijke himself in the spring of 2005.

Marijke did a treatment bringing Derek back into balance and strengthening his resistance to stress, so that he had a plan of attack for rodeo.

Ringer and Derek went on to a tremendously successful season. They made the top ten in an association that includes competitors from Washington , Oregon , and Idaho , and then went on to win the finals placing 3 rd in one go, and 1 st in the other! This was more than Derek and Ringer had expected. So, with more strength and confidence than ever before we hope to have an even better season next year!!!!!!!!
