Natural Horse Health Work-Up

Natural Health Work-Ups are available for those horse owners who are challenged by their horse’s health problems, or for those horse owners who would like a detailed nutritional assessment done. The work-ups are performed by Marijke van de Water, B.Sc., DHMS and her assistant Shay. Through using a unique method of kinesiology they are able to evaluate health status and formulate a comprehensive health program that addresses your horse’s specific health problems as well as any unique nutritional requirements.

Kinesiology is a method of energy testing (similar to muscle testing) that works by “testing” the electromagnetic energy field around organs, body systems, foods, nutrients and remedies. Kinesiology enables the practitioner to “track” the body systems and many of its functions - it identifies blocked energy fields, pinpoints specific problems and assesses the underlying cause. Kinesiology can be performed in the physical presence of a horse or at a distance, known as remote testing. Remote testing is possible because all imbalances present themselves in the electromagnetic field, a field which is beyond space and time. Electromagnetic fields surround every part of the body including connective tissue, blood, the nervous system, the immune system and all other body organs. This field is a fundamental force of nature and is a unique “fingerprint” for every animal and every person.

The method of kinesiology used by Marijke and Shay is known as “The Marijke Method™”, a method which she developed over twenty years of practice working on horses and people. We commonly work with the following health conditions:

Marijke and Shay formulate a complete health program determined by which body organs are stressed, which nutrient deficiencies or excesses are present, and which feeding program is compatible with your horse. They will also test the most appropriate herbs, supplements and remedies to address specific health conditions. You can also request your own specific feed, herbs or nutrients to be tested. You can even send us samples of the hay your horses are eating, or would like to eat.

To schedule a consultation please fill out the intake form and return to the Riva’s front office by fax, mail or email. Include 2 pictures of your horse – one portrait picture and one complete body picture (without a blanket). Work-ups are done on a first-come, first-serve basis although urgent cases will be given priority. Upon completion and before invoicing you will receive a written report from Marijke  detailing the diet and nutrition program, remedy and supplement program, any recommended lifestyle changes, as well as any “words of wisdom” from your horse.

Cost: $150.00 per horse (January 01, 2012)
